I am 11 weeks today! Two more weeks to go and the first trimester will be over! I have been so blessed and haven't had any morning sickness!! Only a few mornings of feeling a little ick, and then sometimes in the evenings but nothing major at all! Praise God! We had our first Doctor's appointment on Monday. The doctor was running very behind and we waited 1 1/2 hrs for my appointment time. I was so happy have Mitchel there to keep me company. Dr. Sherman checked me out and said everything looks great, my estimated due date is April 23. She put the doppler on my stomach so we could hear the heartbeat but after several minutes of looking around, she couldn't find it. She told us not to worry that usually the baby is just still too small to hear. She then told me to come meet her in the hall and she was going to do an ultrasound so we could see the baby's heartbeat. It was already 5:00pm at this point and the ultrasound tech had already gone home, so Dr. Sherman did it for us. It was a very quick ultrasound, she basically just let us see the baby and it's tiny heart beating away!! Wow! What an amazing experience that was! You could even see his/her tiny arms and feet sticking up!! It definitely made our 1 1/2 wait worth it! =) I go back on October 24, I will be 14 weeks then. It's working out well so far and that every appointment should fall on Mitchel's days off so he will get to go with me! I'm still not really showing yet, my lower stomach is starting to get a little more fullness to it, but nothing anyone else would really notice yet.
